Galvanic corrosion question (I think that's the proper term)
So i'm having a hell of a time removing the bolts from my lower locating bars (4-link bars) on my '85's rear end. I know that the bolt is rusted to the mounting bracket, but I attempted to use both Aerokroil and an impact gun, to no avail. I heated it and let it cool a bunch of times with a propane torch, and beat the hell out of it with a 16 oz claw hammer, a 22 ounce claw hammer, and finally an 8 pound maul. The maul ended up bending the hell out of my mounting bracket on my old housing, so now I'm thinking that it's the brass insert in the bushing that's corroded to the bolts. Does anyone have a good way to release the bolt from the bushing, or am I screwed and should just bite the bullet, burn out the bushing and order up new ones?

Use a cutoff wheel on either side between the bushing housing on the end of the locating bar and the housing cutting the bolt on both sides. Then you'll have to get the bushing out of the end of the locating rod. Some folks burn them out other just use a press. Yoru right the bushings sleeve is probably completely bonded to the bolt and cutting is sometimes the only way to get it out. Had the same kind of problem on the pivot bolt of the front lower control arms.
