Functional aggressive airdam for 85 GS?
Hey guys, anybody know if a reasonably priced functional airdam to fit my 85 GS? I ran a search but couldn't really turn up much. Thanks

funny you should mention...lol
i removed the factory front air dam long ago since it was warped and scratched and didn't serve much of a purpose.
tonight i went outside, grabbed a piece of sheet metal...and used the 2 existing screws that hold the lower radiator ducting to attach the piece.
it looks like total ***, but it's functional

This is the one I have on my car. It did help a bit on highway driving. My car felt like it would porpoise a bit at 70+ mph cruising, but now it's pretty damn steady.

Here's what it looks like on my car:

(Edit- It's not aggresive, but functional)

and not just any V8. but a 271 / 289 hi-performance or 'k' engine code.
maxwell smart ( agent 86 ) used to drive one on the TV show(s) whenever the show had to do with driving they always used FOMOCO

Thanks for all the responses guys. Sure are some sharp 7's out there, and some of those airdams look pretty cool. Haven't quite seen what I'm looking for yet, but any that I've seen so far would probably work.

This is a Kamei front spoiler, imported by Pacific and now sold through VB, I believe. The price on this was right around $200, plus prep and paint, but it's Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic, so is quite flexible for the occasional curb that it might see. I have also added the splitter at the bottom, made of kydex and attached using pop rivits to allow for a buffer for anything that might contact the front airdam. These are 'break-away' parts to save me the cost of a new airdam plus paint in the event that I bump up against something or hit road trash.

I had one of those Zenon front air dams, like that from VB. there crap !!.....
you have to either use screws or pop rivits to mount it, that can be seen. there soft, they sag, and should be braced from the underside, come shipped with a gel coating. it's not what you think untill you get it, and then a disapointment to boot. IMO

Thanks LongDuck! That looks real close to what I'm looking for. I don't mind having to be careful of parking curbs and such, I'm the only one that drives my baby anyway! LoL.
