FuelPump/Carb Question

Should I be running a aftermarket Fuelpump with a aftermarket Carburator? Is that what you guys are doing? I saw on ebay That a guy was selling his aftermarket carb and said you should run one with at least 6psi..Any of you guys do that? Thanks in advance.

Overall, the stock fuel pump doesnt really perform very good. Just get a pump that will be a little more than sufficient to what your carb needs. Dont forget a regulator.

its a crap shoot. I myself have ran a holley 600 on the stock pump for a good amount of time. worked pretty well. don't think i ever ran out of gas with it. then i went with a holley blue when i was going with nitrous. yet after a year the blue broke and had to go back with the stock pump for awhile. still no problems.

You need an aftermarket fuel pump with a *stock* carburetor. The stock fuel pump is barely good enough for rated HP when everything is new and in perfect condition. It only goes downhill from there.

Best to just get an overkill pump (practically any aftermarket pump will be overkill) and a regulator that can get down to the 2-4psi range and you're set.
