Question Fuel System Question

I just mapped out my fuel system and it doesnt appear to be setup right. I'd expect there to be a return to the fuel tank from somewhere (i dont think i missed anything)... from this it seems that i get unfiltered fuel flowing into the primary rail from the surge tank..

TIA

no idea about what you asked but shouldnt your filter be between the tank and the first pump? And why do you need 2 pumps?

I thought the primary fuel rail was supposed to be before the secondary rail in the fuel system.

Thats why im asking... this is how it came when purchased! Doesnt seem right to me... i think there is no return line to the tank!

I just had a revelation.

When the surge tank is full, there is positive pressure on the line running to the primary fuel rail. After flooring the pedal a lot, the car becomes really sluggish, I am guessing because the surge tank is not full any more thus not providing the primary fuel rail with that it needs?

Thoughts, ideas?

Fuel flows through the secondary rail to the primary and back to the surge tank. The only thing it really needs is a return from the surge tank to the fuel tank. Otherwise it's correct.
