Fuel Pump problems ?

Is this a bad fuel pump ?

1983 Limited Edition, 12A engine, car stutterd in fourth gear as though not enough fuel.

Please help

could be getting ready to crap out ... but i'd start with the filter first because a bad pump won't let you get to 4th gear in many cases.

Definitely check your filter. I was having starvation issues on mine and filter was really clogged. I replaced and it I haven't had any problems since
