have you ever tried pulling the line off the ouput end of the pump and checking it?

Is the flow going the correct way? Is it a self priming pump? If not, thats a long pull for a pump, theyre supposed to be gravity fed if theyre non self priming.

the fuel pump should be as close to the tank as possible. long fuel draws can cause problems, been there. locate as close to the tank as possible.

thats what im thinkin it is and thats what im gonna do when i get my mallory fuel pump in a few days. i took off the fuel pump and ran it just by itself with no lines attached. im not an expert when it comes to fuel pumps and dont know what 2-3.5 psi should feel like but it felt pretty weak when i felt the air being sucked in and blown out. and is there any thing else this could be like a problem in the fuel tank?
