Fuel Pump and Carb Questions

I am about to buy a Carter 7 psi fuel pump and holly regulator to put on my shock nikki. Do I need to cap off the return line and if so, how should i do it. Also, what is a good psi to go for on a 85 stockport motor w/exhaust? Any help is appreciated.

Iam pretty sure RB says to have the fuel psi at 4.5 for stock. If Iam wrong I will repost,
I have a RB catalog that tells you. I wouldnt bother with the fuel return unless you get
a carb with no return. Also, I would not waste the money on the name of Holley, just get a
universal fuel pump that will push atleast 8psi(Holley carbs need 6psi). I have heard you can
get one for $25 at Discount auto?

$25? Remember u get what u pay for

And as a side note, I was looking at Holley's web site, they said that a holley carb can handle up to 8psi of fuel pressure. Thought that was a neat bit of info.

Also remeber the flow of the pump is important,it doesnt help if you have a pump that pushes 6psi,but the flow rate is only 1000cc per minute

I`am also having trouble supplying enough fuel to the carb. The stock pump supplies 1400cc,and i`am starving with no return hooked up.Looking at a Jaguar fuel pump now.
