hi i was in the process of taking my carb off my 84 gsl and figuered why not pump some fuel into a bottle to see its flow, well when i turn the key to the on position nothing comes out only when i am turning it over some fuel would come out and while it was running it would be pumping until whatever i had in the bowls ran out then it would stop when the car stopped running. do i have bad circuit?

 

The 84-85 models fuel pump do not come on until you start cranking the engine.
