Fuel Pump

Hello Everyone.
I was wondering if anybody has had any luck with aftermarket fuel pumps other than a facet. I am running a Mikuni side draft and need to upgrade the fuel pump beyond the facet fuel pump I was using with the Racing Beat Holley set up.

For carb'd the Carter 7lb is hard to beat.Smallish,cheap,simple.And its low enough pressure for sensetive Nikki and Yaw carbs(they like 2-3psi).

Carter/Walbro is the same pump. Buy a Carter, it comes in a box that says Federal Mogal, the pump has Walbro on it. What am I missing here?

BTW the 255lph is great if you are turboed but for N/A EFI you should go with the 195lph. I have a 255lph in my 85 SE and it drinks the **** out of gas. I do enjoy it though. I do believe though that he is carbed and the 95psi shutoff would be a bit much for it.

The great fuel pump debate comes up around here every few months and we all say the same things.

Street / Strip (SS) Fuel Pump, P/N 11203

For carbureted powerplants making 200-750 HP with standard regulators and up to 1,000 HP with dynamic, bypass style regulators. Ideal for coninuous duty, carbureted applications where more line pressure, flow volume and reliability are desired.

Ideal for your daily driver, street rod or demanding ET-bracket race car. On the street or at the track, you expect durability and reliability, along with consistant high performance. The Street / Strip (SS) Fuel Pump delivers high fuel flow at optimal line pressure. This pump is designed to be used with either a Bypass Regulator; P/N 13301 or one of our Carburetor Adjustable Regulators; P/N 13201 or 13205.

Fuel flow exceeds 900 lbs. per hour @ 13.5 Volts -more than 150 gallons per hour.
Pump provides 18-20 PSI fuel pressure - perfect for high-G leaving cars.
Pumping mechanism features our proprietary composite rotor, stainless steel vanes, and precious ground, heat-treated steel plates.
3/8" NPT ports facilitate easy installation.
Alcohol compatible.
Ideal for dedicated nitrous fuel delivery.
Low amperage draw.
it flows so much @ 3psi i had to upgrade to 1/2 fuel lines in order to drop the psi below 7.

carl.

p.s. 150gph = over 567 LPH

Attendant at the gas station:

"Sir, can you please turn off the engine. You're using more gas than what I can put in your tank."
