Question Fuel Pressure Question?

How much fuel pressure should be goin to my carb? The previous owner has a fuel pressure regulator dial attached to the return line. This doesn't seem right to me. Also, I justy tuned her up and it feels like there is too much pressure coming from my 9.5 psi fuel pump. Should the dial be on the fuel imput line? Do I need the dial at all?

He might have been using the regulator on the return to limit the return flow. The stock restrictor would have been a better thing to use. You can deadhead the carb and use the regulator on the supply line, where it belongs.

What Do You Mean By "deadhead" The Carb? What Do You Think I Shoud Set To Regulator To Once I Change It To The Supply Line. The Dial Starts At 5.

BLock the return on both the carb and put a cap over the hardline back to the tank. Search for proper fuel pressure on a Mikuni, its been discussed before.

The mikuni carb is supposed to be set at 4.5 psi.
