Question fuel pressure guage...

ok... i know that this has been asked before. and yes, i did search. i found some usefull info, but not enough.
My question is weather or not anyone has found a good fuel pressure guage for the 12a? Word was out that Paul Yaw had one, but no other info about it than that.

I have a Carter 7psi pump, and holley 1-4pr on my 85gsl, and would really like to know what psi i am running (as i have been running without a guage since i hooked it all up). I got it running pretty good, but know that it could be fine tuned a bit.

I have been looking at some of the guages on jeg's and summit, but don't know what would work since they are all 0-15 or so... and i don't know how acurate they would be for my ~3psi setup. If anyone has had success with any, i would like to know. I am still trying to decide weather i want one that i can just disconnect and connect from the regulator, or weather i want one in the cockpit. I do want one in the dash for more acurate readings under load, but don't know if it is worth the extra time, money, money and money.

thanks for any info
jeff

I got an industrial type 0-5 PSI gauge from this surplus company. Worked great and cheap!

It's a rather large diameter gauge so it's probably not approriate for permanent installation under the hood. I taped it to my windshield and ran a hose with a splitter down to the fuel inlet on the carb. It was a very big help in setting the pressure especially at high RPM's. Quite honestly, I can't see a good reason to permanently install one under the hood anyway.

I bought a small fuel presure guage from kragen auto parts. It's small, about the size of a quater, white face.
I think it's moroso, anyway,, i made a 'T' out of brass
it's just a solid, round section with threads on the inside of both ends for hose fittings. the brass was bought from auto zone in the dorman products section,, freeze glugs and etc. I drilled and taped the brass for the guage and it's installed inline under the hood and it reads 3 lbs.
