Question fuel level sender impedance range

i want to put an autometer fuel level gauge in my car so it will match the rest of my gauges. I need to know what the fuel senders impedance range is.

I wonder if he ever tried it? And if it worked? Seems like it should work to me. Actually a little trim pot would be better so you can fine tune it. Although the fixed resistor should work about as well.
