fuel leak!! Down but not out

My car has been starting a bit funny for the last few days. It actually sounded like it was starting quicker but maybe 1 rotor was starting instead of both. After the initial startup it ran and sounded fine but I made a mental note to check it after work yesterday. When I got out of my car my wife said she smelled gas and so did I so I popped the hood and started looking around. The smell had all but dissapated but I saw at least 1 fuel line with a tear in it by the clamp so it looks like Ive got some work to do. At least I caught it before any damage was done!
Im going to replace all soft fuel lines with new and also do a few other projects I was waiting on. This is my list of things Im planning on doing while I have the intake off to replace the lines. Let me know if anyone can think of anything else I should do while im in there...

85 gsl-se w/ 150Kmiles, RB header/exhaust, tocico shocks, STS springs

1) replace fuel lines
2) FPD removal mod - already have 2nd gen fuel rail for parts...
3) 5/6th port cleaning/removal? They currently arent opening but I think its mostly due to an exhaust leak.
4) replace vac hoses. Maybe a good time to remove the rats nest? I still have emissions testing til '08 but Im already cat-less and inspection-less so WTF...
5) find/fix exhaust leak
6) Hook up TT to new 2nd gen ignitor and include resistor to try and prolong ignitor life
7) rebuild MOP from parts car and install
8) Polish U/LIM

When you replace those soft hoses, be sure to use "aircraft" or "fuel injection" clamps. They have an extra turn of plain unperforated metal band around the hose that almost completely eliminates leaks. Don't ever use ordinary hose clamps, like, from the hardware store. Sometimes you gotta go to a highclass autostore to get them but they'll save your car and maybe your life.

You might consider replacing the Fuel Pulsation Damper, either with a $200 (!) new part from mazdatrix.com, or a $20 banjo bolt from Summit Racing, since they tend to leak with age. There was a thread here last week about it. My new banjo bolt is on the way to me! Preventative maintenance.

Ive already got the banjo bolt from bazai_racing and suspect the FPD may be a source of leaking but wont know until I get under there. I added your suggestion for FI clamps to my list. Keep em coming....

1) replace fuel lines - use FI/aircraft hose clamps

I've got 3 FBs running J109s with about 350k mileage and haven't lost an ignitor yet. So no PM. But I do have a couple spare J109s in each glove compartment along with a small rightangle screwdriver to undo the cramped top J109.
