so yeah.. ive never had a problem with the fuel gauge before but yesterday i took a pretty hard turn down a little residential street and after that i noticed my guage not working anymore. at first i thought the harness plug came off sensor but it didnt. i just check it. what else should i check? is it common for the sender itself to go out??

What year is it, the 84/85 have a three wire plug at the fuel tank, the earlier ones have a two wire plug, the terminals rust out on these and you can either rebuild it yourself as I did, its in here somewhere, or buy an expensive replacement.
