Fuel Gauge not working
Fuel Gauge not working
Alright i did do a search...and i do have a Hayne's service book...and i still cant find out y my fuel gauge refuses to work......i had my 7 taken to a rotary specialist a while back to have it fixed and ti worked for about 5 hours...and then it died again.....i really would like to have a working gauge b/c im going to be traveling here soon almost across the US...any help is appreciated...thanks in advance
My fuel gauge would work one day and not the next. I hated it with all my life. I found that my fuel tank sending unit was bad. It would make a little bit of connection for a while and then quit. The only option is to replace it. The connection at the sending unit corodes and falls apart. Remove your drivers side rear tire and the plastic inner panel and you will see the sending unit(no need to remove tank) in the top of the tank. That is you rmost common problem with these cars. My 2 cents.
when u say the top of the tank...is that where the wiring runs thru the car frame into the back right underneath the compartments.....b/c i have those wires already showing....but i can get to the sending unit with ease b/c my car is sittiing on jack stands right now b/c im removing the tranny all this week...as daylight seems to be fighting with me
