fuel filter flow direction

anyone have a 79 rx7 and know which side the arrow on the fuel filter is suppose to point. Drivers or passenger side. Is the stock pump line on the passenger side or the drivers side? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure what your question is asking, but the arrow is suppose to indicate the flow of the fuel, which means oulet going to the carburetor.

The inlet of the fuel filter (no arrow) should be connected to the outlet of the fuel pump.

lol yeah i tried anyhow the fuel pump is it small like i ve had a 2nd gen and the 1st gen are in line correct and they are small compared to a 2nd gen in tank fuel pump. And from what i was told the flow direction should be tank then to the filter then to the pump. Is that correct just double checking. If that is true then i have the flow direction correct which means the arrow points toward the passenger side. Sorry for the confusion but the haynes manuel only tells me what i already knew.
