lol Chalk me down for under 12mpg. 48IDA with big chokes and large streetport with more overlap = crappy fuel economy.

i actually got better gas milage when i got put on my full exhaust (header to muffler). i usually go by the tank of gas, but i did the math one time and it came out to be ~20mpg. but before my exhaust it was getting ~170 miles to the tank, not i get ~220 miles to the tank.

same here, when i did my full exhaust setup i noticed a vast improvment on my economy, but usually going to my community college class, which is downtown, i love to haul *** so it all evens out now. i'd say i average around 18mpg

I used to have the same setup and mileage as REVHED in my old GSL... my GSL-SE used to get at least 21MPG daily driven or almost 330-340 miles to a full tank..now it runs smoother and stronger with a newer engine but only averages around 17MPG..weird

Nearly stock 12a, and I only get 15-16mpg I'll be finishing my exhaust soon, so hopefully that will help.

84 SE, stock as a box of rocks, driven daily during warm weather (~6 mo/yr), ~20mpg. Up into the low-mid 20s if I'm really nice to it, which is rare over a span of 300+ miles.

driven year roud 83 S, 107k on original engine, stock other than a K&N, mechanincal secondaries, and a E-Fan I get an average of 17mpg this time of year (warm ups kill it) and 20 in the summer. Strictly highway driving and I get 26. Not bad for a 20 year old car.

Hmm... I think I'm gonna have to try and offer some mercy to us poor Canadians here wondering... WTF is my fuel economy in F*ing miles per american gallon?

So guys, get your fuel economy in whatever form you like as long as it's got km and L in it and do this:

Example with my old shadow's tank. 50L/430km

50L / 3.8 = 13.15 American Gallons
430km / 2.2 = 195.45 miles

so if I'm getting 195.45 miles per 13.15 gallons, I get how many miles per gallon?

195.45 / 13.15 = 14.86mpg

****! my shadow wasn't that bad.... :P but seeing as my rex isn't on the road yet I have no clue what it does

the worst mileage car i owm is my bone stock white 85 automatic! it gets 11 to 12 mpg!
a blow-through turbo car (stock 13bt) gets as good as 17 mpg and as bad as 5 mpg, totaly depends on how much boost you have that day!

when i first got my car it got like 5 mpg, but about a week later i noticed a small hole in the gas tank. hmmm, that explains a lot. now i keep under $5 in it and it gets about 15mpg. depending on the driving. if i do a lot of high rpm's its about 12 mpg

Hell, yeah I had a gas tank issue too before the car was lay sit. I probably need a gas tank replacment, not sure what that'll cost, but probably not cheap. Guage was broke too so we had to go by what was on the trip od.

you can pick up a gas tank at your local yard for around $30.

i also see in your sig that it needs a carb you can get one at the yard as well. just make sure it works first. i dont know how much they go for though.

I have a Dell and when I am trying to get some where fast my milage is about 10 MPG (75 MPH +). During regular driving it is closer to the 12 to 15 MPG.

GSL, stock except for Pacesetter exhaust, Purolator fuel pump, Holley reg set to 2psi.

last night I went 130 miles using 5 gallons of fuel. Not all of this was highway. You do the math.

And this is with spark plugs that still need to be changed!

some people are getting as much as 26 mpg on the highway, and some people are getting as low as 12mpg?
My 174K miles 12a original engine/ trans/ rear end/ 2nd clutch (throw out bearing getting loud) gets 18-20mpg, and that is a mix of in town cruise and backroad blast. I don't think I would want a car that only got 12mpg for back roads driving romps or cruising, I wouldn't be able to drive it as much (without feeling guilty- heck 12mpg could be a supercharged v8 or a jacked up 454 4x4). No thanks. Last saturday, I drove for three hours and 140 miles straight- driving my favorite local roads. That took half a tank, but with some or your guy's rides that would have been an entire tank.
