Fuel Economy

Me and my Mate both own series 2 generation one Rx7s, and we have been argueing over late about fuel economy ( i honeslty dont care to much) but he uses his as a A-to-B kind of car. Anyways...

Will a 12A motor with a turbo use more fuel , than just a standard 12A?

And is it true that a stock 13B uses 15% less fuel than a stock 12A, i find that hard to believe

Me too. From the '84 sales brochure:
(pic in next post)

As a turbo increases the air charge and therefore the fuel (to maintain the A/F ratio), how could it use less fuel?
