fuel cut out problem

i have a 84 gsl-se and i just got this problem today after about a half hour of driving. i can only accelerate at quarter throttle or else the fuel just cuts out. also if i get above 3,000 rpms the fuel cuts out. im going to take the fuel filter out and check that but anyone else have this problem or any ideas please post them. i just got this car a week ago and its been fun to drive and i want to start driving it again.

thanks

both the filter and pump are uber easy to change, so don't fret. do a search on making the tps test light and adjust it. i am always hooking my test light up and making sure mine is in adjustment. also, check your timing and fuel system wiring if you pull the pump/filter.
