what type pad are you using? metallic, semi-metallic or organic?

try cleaning them well with brake cleaner, but if you're using semi-metallic or metallic pads, they are more prone to squeaking than the regular organic crap!

New brake pads often squeak until they 'settle in'. It's normal.

my brakes squeek all the time. They have about 1000 miles on them. On occasion, at low speeds (15 or lower) i get a grinding sound, that I can also feel through the pedal (its not really harse, I have SS lines so I feel everything that goes through the brake)

Did you have the rotors turned when you put the new pads in?

If not, did you take some fine grit sandpaper and, in a swirling motion, take off the glaze from the rotors?

If you didn't do either of those things, I would suggest you pop the wheels off again, take a good look at the rotors, and if they need turned, take them to a local brake and muffler shop or machine shop and have them cut.

If they don't look like they need turned, take the sandpaper (I used 120 grit on my PGT, but that was really a little on the rough side -- I would suggest something finer than that really) and, in a circular (swirling/non-direction) motion, take the glaze off the rotors. That will assist the pads in bedding in quicker.

Also, take a look at the back of the box the pads came in if you still have it. Some will tell you how to bed the pads in (for example, the Hawk SP's that I got for my PGT described a procedure to follow, and after performing it, they worked pretty well).

get some straight up carbon race pads, they will never squeel i swear! most pads you can buy from local parts store like raybestest pads will squeek no matter what. if it still squeels just get a louder exhaust system or a loud *** fuel pump
