Front head light squirter

I own 1982 series 2 rx7
I am in the middle of troubleshooting my front head light squirter water system. When i turn it on nothing happens. Fuses are good!.
Is there an easy way to get to the squirter water container's electronic plug and motor. Or do i have to unscrew everything just to get to it.

the american spec cars didnt have those, so not many people have ever even seem em on this board. i cant help you with specific questions, but you can troubleshoot it same as you would the windsheild sprayer.

is the pump turning on?
if not, hold the switch while you check and see if the thing is getting power. if it isnt, check the fuse again and the switch too.
if it is getting juice and the pump just plain isnt kickin on, get a new one at the junk yard and see if your problem goes away.

if the pump is turnin on, disconnect the out tube and see if the water will squirt out. if it will, youve got a clogged hose. unclog the hose and be on your way

let us know how it goes

all I can think about, is if the toilets really flush and spin backwards in Australia.......and how that has to be the source of the problem.

I had one of those systems a while ago. However, it has come to my attention that there were several different styles of reservoirs, but I'll try my best to help you anyway.

The reservoir that I had was mounted in front of the passenger-side tire, but behind the front bumper. I had to remove the plastic wheel well to get at the reservoir and pump. To remove the reservoir, unscrew the two or three nuts that are around the filler tube that's inside the engine compartment. There's also a small screw that holds the filler tube in place, but I don't think you shall need to remove that.

My guess is that the pump has seized. Due to the location of the pump, it is very susceptible to getting wet. You might want to pull it out and see if you can turn it by hand. If not, those motors are pretty easy to rebuild.

Again, since my headlight squirter system was from a Canadian car, I'm not sure it's the same as yours. Hopefully, this info will give you an idea of what to look for.
