Airflow is my life
I missed this thing. My DD is an auto but not forever and a short shifter would be nice. FYI, dont expect the $ to roll in. We thought we'd sell alot more carbs than we have too.

About the carbs. Supposing mine is a barebones carb (almost nothing on it), how much could I save ($$) off of the regular price of your 'magic carb?'

Sorry, in my personal experience, I've wasted more trannies with Short Shift kits than with normal kits.
I'm mainly wondering where the free comes from, and what the price to performance ratio is on this short shift kit (which is, in my experience, nowhere near the p to p ratio of other things)

Well, the amount of time taken to move the shorter shifter certainly isn't different enough to register on a clock, unless you're getting into the smaller decimals.

Lives on the Forum
Seems to me that a short shifter would improve the lifespan of your synchros, not shorten it. The longer shifter on the stock setup would give you more leverage to apply force to your synchros. Am I missing something here?
I wouldn't mind picking one up, but I just have too many other things on my list right now. Still trying to get caught up on 20 years of missed maintenance...
