Free FB?
What do you all think about thiss deal? I found a offer for a free FB and i guess all thats wrong with it is that it need a rebuild. A good body, pretty good interior good wheels on it. The guy said he got it from a friend after it sat for a year and he started it up and it puffed blue smoke, so he checks the oil and it looks like batter which doesent sound good to me.
So can any one give me a estamet on a rebuild and such, and tell me if it is worth the troubble.
Thanks
-i would poast a year but the brr-scca boards site is down so ill have to poast back on that.

if you rebuild it your self you can get rebuilding kits from atking rotary starting around 600 or you can try to send it out many companies that rebuild them starting aroun 900 i believe or you can buy mine that is already rebuild with 6000 miles on it for 450 plus shipping. let me know what you think. thanks.

your looking at $500-$1000 for a rebuild of you do it yourself. $500 if the rotors and housings are good and pushing $1000 if they are bad. ****, if its free get it just for the parts.

Oh **** I forgot to mention that he already started to prep it for rebuild so you would have to trailer it. Sorry I left that out but it wasn’t a problem for me because I know a guy that probably could have done it.

just show up with a case of oil, some mmo, some new spark plugs, a fuel filter, and your basic tool set. If it turns, drain the oil, put the new stuff in and drive it home. If it doesnt turn, then well you know what to do...then drive it home.

Dolly rental 49.99 from uhaul for 24 hours, make sure you check the website for your towing vehicle, they will only rent it to people who have certain trucks.... ie, no ford explorers.. I found this out the hard way.

i started talking to the dude with the car.
he's quite a drive from me and told me the condition of the car really isn't worth it.
so, dogs, have at it.
if you want his email, pm me.
