frame rail in bad shape

hello everyone. I have an 82' RX7. I have notice over the past 3mths a hole starting on the bottom of the car on the frame rail. after further investigation and scrapping and banging with a hammer, it is in worse shape than i expected. I have provided a picture hoping to get feedback in what my options are and how to go about fixing this issue or is it too far gone. this is my very first car i bought when i was 18. now i am 38, so im kinda attached to the car.
This is from the driver side. the passenger side is still good.

Wow. I guess that is pretty common for Ontario cars.

What do the other parts of the chassis look like?

Remove the storage bin (either or both sides), just 4 phillips screws. Pull up the factory sound deadening mat and look at where the wheel well meets the floor. I would be surprised if that area isnt rusted heavily also.
