Found a Widebody shell on ebay-somebody buy it

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...517752087&rd=1

The interior is a wreck. looks like the owner wanted to make some crazy SUBZ BOXEZ.

but yeah, it caught my eye at only $750, it would make a great track car, or ground-up project.

not bad widebody but it looks like the interior is in rough shape, would take alot of work to get that to look stock again.

Nah, a door panel, drivers seat, rear carpet and storage bins is all she needs.

I've got all that **** in my garage. If only I was near the seller.

I just realized that this car is less than 1/4 mile away from where I live. I was like, damn, thats familiar.... I've been by the guys house once or twice, about a year ago, I havent seen the widebody up close though, i dont think he had it then. I would pick it up if i didnt already have a project that's made me completely broke

Notice the front bumper is cracked also. If the motor runs, you could sell it for about $300 with the tranny. The rest of that car is junk. I would say it's worth about $600 as it sits but the kit needs a good bit of glass work to be like new.

That's what a widebody looks like without wheel spacer adapters and wider wheels and tires... Hammered Dogshit !

Dig the birdshit on the hood. Wouldn't you at least rinse the budgie droppings off before taking a picture to post on Ebay ?

Yeah, so the car is rough. You guys (luiml & partsguy excluded) have any idea how much a body shop charges to install a wide body kit? In a word, a lot. The front fenders are “bolt on replacement”. NOT. The rear fenders have to be bonded to stock body & fit over & under wheel wells. Now, to make both line up & flow w/ the stock door w/ the new side skirt flares. Add the front air dam to the mix & you have one huge project. I participated in the installation of my Pacific wide body kit & can tell you it ain’t no weekend job. While executing custom bodywork is not rocket science, it is an acquired craft & respectable profession not learned overnight.
For that kit on a running car, even as rough as it looks, I’d pay a couple Ks in a sec.

Some of you may recall last year when i was building my Wide-body I was trying to find the rigt wheel fitments for it.

Thanks to a couple of you, a yard stick, a tape measure, some card-board and duct tape I fingered it all out.

I have that info in one of my note-books incase any of you ever need it,

I also have a set of 1.75" 4x110 wheel spacers for the rear of a wide-body that i got with the car... ifanyone ever needs them..

I love the widebodies, but I have to agree, i think this one is too much work, and the price will probably go for like $600.00ish so then you got to think about all the work to get it back into great condition.. all the figierglass, and bondo and time,, I don't think it's worth it.

Looks like we covered some of the same ground, SS124A. I have a set of solid 1" billet 4x110 rear spacers I don't need. I changed my pattern with spacer adapters, got new wheels w/ different offset and have a perfect profile now ( and more rubber on the road ).

Go for it ! Looks to me like he let those expensive panels and all that body work go to hell. That's where I'd leave it. But I will admire you "saving a widebody".
