Talking Found wheels for 1st gen

I have just purchased my first RX-7...an 83 in super shape (only 92K on it).
I have been doing EXTENSIVE research into after market wheels for the 4x110 bolt pattern. I found this site: www.performancealloys.com. Seems they are one of the largest wheel dealers in the UK and I thought it was strange when I typed in my model, and got a LOT of wheels back as a result. Most wheel sites wont even accept pre-86 Rx-7's as choices in their menus.

So I emailed them and they said they have a lot of rims for sale that have a larger hole...and they use a "special nut" to lock them down. The guy I messaged said their rims fit 4x110 no problem.

Does anyone know anything about this company or has anyone ordered rims from them? If their system of using a 'special nut' is good...then this place is a virtual gold mine for 4/110 rims.

Why not keep the stock wheels, they look better, handle some very inexpensive performance tires and you already own them.

because all the good tires start at 15"

And I will believe this site when somebody actually orders 4x110 wheels from them, and they actually work. There have been a lot of "wheel source" threads, but virturally none of them have fallen through.

get some used wheels!

I have to disagree. I have 13 X 7.5 with Summittmo Tires on them and they do great.

I have said it before, God told mazda to put 13's on the 7, Mazda did as they were told, who am I to argue with God?

It is heading to the same place it always does, We all show off our wheels, make fun of the 18's and never really get anywhere.

Hey Jaime...when I talked to one of their sales guys, he said they use a "cup" over the holes. So I guess they could fit a variety of bolt pattern sizes by using different custom cups. Performance Alloys handle a lot of the manufacturers that others have mentioned on this board. But to get 3 pages of wheel possibilities back is very unusual.

I am surprised that there is not more interest in my post...because finding wheels for early rx's is so difficult. I know that this topic has been hashed out a LOT, but this is the first web site that I have found that claims to have a solution...other than replacing the hub with an adapter.

Then God told the previous owner of my 1984 white FB to buy rims off of an LE and stick them on it so you stop standing out so much (Or so I stand out more). Got to love those rims though. Just have to.

Those look like they were made to fit. Is it just me, or is the color just a shade off?
At any rate, I like the looks. Far better looking than having no caps at all.
