Let me apologize in advance for this elementary question, but I have no experience with SA's. and Yes, I searched to no avail. Can you use a 79-81 Racing Beat header & presilencer on an 83? I'm thinking about purchasing one, but I don't know if it will fit correctly... Please advise.

Call RB and ask them, since they make them they should be able to tell you.

 

I thought about that but figured they would probably say...

"Why do you want to buy a 79-81 header when we sell one for your 81-83 application?"

 

make something up about how you want to switch it between cars or something.

 

I guess I'll have to if no one can verify whether or not it will fit for me....

 

it will fit. the 79 presilencer is just shorter.
you may miss a couple brackets but its no big deal.
i have an 85 system on my sa.
from my experience any rb system will go on any car. ( 1st gen)
