Thumbs down Flooded the motor, unflooded it, got it running, is it safe to drvie????

Because once I got it running I checked the oil, it seems to be thinned out and smells like gas.... is it safe to run like this at all??? I can get it changed monday, but would it hurt for the weekend?

Thanks,
jeff b

Why don't you just change it? Only takes about 15mins.

I was wondering how gass could get into your oil by flooding your engine? DOes it sneek past the seals and go through the holes in the eccentric shaft? I guess I am stupid. :|

everytime you flood/unflood your engine, you have to change the oil, because fuel gets in with it somehow. you should also clean the spark plugs

Fuel is thinner than oil, so your oil control seals don't do a good job keeping gas from getting into the oil as well as they keep oil from getting into the combustion chamber. When your engine is flooded, and your rotor goes into the compression stage, your are basically pushing gas into your oil. Change you oil, and if you can figure out how to stop it from flooding, let me know...
