fixing water-to-oil cooler
I think I have all the parts needed (4 o-rings and 2 metal sealing washers) to fix my leaky water to oil cooler on my '83 GSL. Are there any tech tips or suggestions I should know about (other than scrapping it for the air-to-oil type) before doing the fix?
Also, has anyone ever tried to put another heat exchanger inline with the water/oil cooler in order to bring the water temp down a little more before it hits the cooler?

Whatever you do, do not force or tweak the oil pipe.
What I mean is this: Loosen the banjo bolt before loosening the nuts/bolt that hold the cooler to the engine. When putting it back together, thread the banjo bolt in first, then put the attaching nuts/bolt on snug, so it's clamped down but can still move around a little, then tighten the banjo bolt, then tighten the nuts/bolt.
I'll have pics if I ever get around to fixing my leaky cooler before swapping the air/oil unit in.
