You want the rear shocks as stiff as you can get them and the fronts loose. So when the weight is transfered to the rear it is used to push the tirres into the track instead of being soaked up by the shocks.

Especially on a street car. Back in the good old says of playing around on the street, A pinion snubber and drilled front struts would hook up like a mad man. Got many a low 1.7 60' on cheap *** pepboys rubber with that setup.
But all in all, don't even worry much about the back suspension, whether you have it on hard or soft won't make that big of a gain. Get the front as soft as possible and get the weight to transfer. Like mentioned above drop the pressure in the rear tires a little bit, but not to the point where the center starts to cave in.
I have all stock suspension and was getting low 1.9 60' on the stock 13" rubber. Slicks will be going on soon, and if it doesn't 60' in the low 1.5's it is getting scrapped
Every .1 in the 60' is .2 in the end

OOPs.. what I really wanted to say that setup would be ideal on a street car turned full dragster ( no sway bars, etc. ). For a street car keeping it the way it is is better.

By the way, Lower you air pressures to improve the 60'ft times.

I see you are in northern KY. What track did you go to? I hit Beech Bend in Bowling Green a few times a year. Also WindyHollow (1/8th mile) in Owensboro a few times, going there tonight if the rain will stop.
