First gen Headlight Motor upgrade?

I was wondering if there is an upgrade kit for the FB headlight motors. I've seen upgrade kits for American cars with motorized headlights, that change the plastic motor gears into metal gears.

I was also thinking that one of these metal gear upgrade kits might possibly be compatible with the FB headlight motors, but I'm only guessing.

Any information anyone has would be very helpful.

Never seen an issue with FB headlights besides the nylon bushings on the linkages.

me too, in fact the aftermarket 911 slant nose kits use the FB motors too.

the porsche guys were the only people who ever bought headlight motors, in the porsche its upside down, and can fill with water

Really?! Well my passenger motor will make the headlight go up and down but the motor keeps spinning, as if its looking for something to tell it to stop.

If the problem it just something I can tweak rather than having to buy a new motor (or pair of motors) that would be awesome.

my motor on the drivers side won't go up at all. Even when I use the manual switch it doesn't go up. Is there an issue with the relays on these motors, and if so, where can I get new ones?
Thanks,

The limit switch on the motor drive may be dirty or need fixing. A little cautious exploration may be in order.

How cautious are we taking here? Do you just mean take your time and look over stuff cautious or one wrong move and you will damage the whole thing cautious?

Either way is fine with me....

BTW- anyone know where you can buy replacement nylon bushings without spending 40 on the entire arm?
