First gen is "crap"?!?
Hey boys,
I'm having an argument with some clown in the lounge - some poser named Eugene Choe trying to sell his "illegal street racing videos".
Anyways, he says the first gen is "crap". Direct quote:
If you're interested in helping me expose this guy for the poser video-salesman he is, come lend a hand!

Some people!
What the hell is wrong with that guy? First gens are dope as hell. Show me any car in '79 that looked as good, there aren't many if any. The car was ahead of it's time, and became an instant classic. What more could you ask for from an automobile?

i know that the first gen comment just a cheap poke at whoever silver roket is. in fact many of my friends do own first gens and i wouldnt call their car crap. but to call me a "poser" whats the deal with that. i am a poser because i condone street racing?? why is it because it is illegal or because it is dangerous. if you dont condone it thats fine. personally i dont condone smoking but im not gonna call my friends and elders a poser because of it. i was just trying to help a friend of mine sell some of his videos by promoting it. and for you to come in and call the video some **** because you dont like street racing. now that was uncalled for sir. in all seriousness not to knock on first gens but do you seriously think a cop would really look at a first gen and see that as a threat for a speeding ticket. not really. they dont see the first gen as a target any more then they see an 89 camery as a threat. but if they see a teen in any car and it doesnt matter if the teen is in a station wagon, thats when they see a threat to society. it is just always been that way. young people in general are just more prone to making just plain dumb decisions. so to say because of f&f or because of other crazy drivers you are looked at badly come on.
i have seen many first gens in my time and again not to knock on first gens many of them are just plain old and they look like any other old car thats built up rust on the body over the years. if your in a first gen who really expects you to race it or even go fast. if you saw a ricer civic with a big gnasty sticker on it you would expect the driver to do some reckless things.
personally i would like to see a well maintained first gen. ...
a poser video saleman jezz im not making any money off of it at all. i make my money with the jobs i have and i did pay for my own car unlike alot of others i know but thats not their fault they were just more fortunate friend. come on stop with the assumption and why dont you stop being a hypocrite.
and again it is not because your in a 1979 to 1985 first gen is so "flashy" that your car sticks out to the cops and they see you as a...what did you say a "criminal". its because you are 21, a young male that may catch their eyes.
again i personally think all cars no matter what are wonderful although some are better then others. my earlier comment about first gens was just an sarcastical outburst and irrational. i esp. admire all rx7s because of the history and legacy.
sorry to all other first gen owners for the comment i had made. i shouldnt have made those comment so broad and irrational when i should have just commented towards silver rocket.
look silver i enjoy street racing and i get some thrills from it, for me its much better then smoking pot or using heroine. but to call me a poser for condoning something that makes you look bad like a criminal?? look i enjoy cars maybe in a little different aspect then you. thats all.

yeah man, as it was said b4, this guy a just a punk kid which his parents probably bought the car for him and he doesn't give a damn about the car. The is a good chance that he doesn't even have a RX-7, probably driving a piece of **** civic from 50years ago.

Yer in my forum, now, boy...
You, sir, are an *******.
Clearly what has sparked off yet another wonderful cyber-pig roast is that you grabbed the nearest thing you could with which to scratch out the eyes of your newly encountered opponent, SilverRocket. You saw his picture, and began to hack on his car.
That was very, very stupid.
Any "car enthusiast" with some brains would've strapped himself in for the ole' 'lawn jart' attack that was most certainly expected to follow for having said such foolishness.
What; You did'nt see this coming ?
"Crabby old" first gen enthusiast though I may be, I can see that you are a total stooly! You're being used, my friend, for other's profit.
Go ahead and advertise this street racing, you moron. You speak prior as if you're on some noble crusade to 'enlighten' people ...awaken them to the "street racing culture". That's really great, there, Homie. Instead of a documentery, make it look like ****** Mardis Gras. Flash a skank or two on the screen. Some hos in a trailer - did I get that right? How about some loser that tapped somebodys bumper or what ever, and is bashing into everything in sight as he tries to escape being beaten by driving away.
BTW, that kid could very well have been beaten to death by an escalating mob of primal thinking child-like ricers who's pheremone producing sweat seems to instill each other to start doing the most bizarrest **** that would make the toughest college frat house hazing ritual look like Girlscout summer camp. People get carried away in the heat of the moment, and you want to help advertise how wonderful street racing is so that some more "Think they can really handle their car" geeks seek out these places.
Your "culture" will begin to have all the appeal of over 'cultured' milk in short order, if it were'nt for the rather large national law enforcement system that we do have in this country. (Hey, Did you guys know there are people around that do nothing but arrest people for a living? Is that some ****, or what?...I just found that out myself.)
Releasing a bunch of videos that demonstrate a gigantic "import car ****-fest", where it appears that any geeky gangly pre-pubescent little tike can get laid by one or more of the hundreds of hos dripping with desire at the sight of their big, huge, long...decal banner on their windshield...well it's a bit of bad publicity, don'tcha think?
I mean really; Do you want people to come and look for you? It would go something like this...Everyone turns around because the dumb bastard does'nt know the headlight routine or something-whatever.
"Hey"
"What the **** do you want, narc?"
"N-No, man...I seen the video. I think you guys are outta sight, dude. Jest wanted ta hang for a while."
"What ****** video? Get the **** outta here, narc!"
Could it ever go like this? Or is everybody just so nice and relaxed, despite the ever impending threat of law enforcement encroachment? Any alcohol or drugs there?
Nawwww.
Listen buddy, street racing is dangerous ****. It's a fact. And it's not going away. That's another fact. But let's all do the smart thing, and leave the street racing group as small as possible, and with the most experienced drivers we can.
Advertising it on a video that clearly is geared towards appealing to teenagers is plain foolish, and will hurt the "street racing culture" you say you want to preserve.
The fact that you stupidly pissed off everybody on this forum by talking nasty-nasty about the first gen cars clearly demonstrates that you are selective in your opinion of what you deem to be worthy of these little street races. What the hell are you doing? Do you want the race that you attend most to suddenly be innodated with ***-filled stock Civics with 747 wings and a sway bar, thinking they are "Da ****, Yo"?
How about this scenereo...The group you attend most frequently has'nt had to relocate for quite some time. You've let some new guys in cause their cars are trick, and they seem smart, and a little tough, too. They can hold their own, yet respect the ones who've been there longer.
You're all gathered together, and by now, theses newest guys have been around long enough to know that you must be important in this group, because you seem to know everybody.
The cops come, and everybody goes flying like rats. The newbies have been severly underestimated in their driving ability, and has been caught, crashed, or killed someone. Maybe even has dope in his car. Maybe a gun.
Do you think that the cops are NOT gonna extract info from this weasle thru a deal?
Do you mean to say that noone that you've worked on this project with has worried about the results from overexposer?
Ya think they might all have an alterior motive here, Fred? Huh...Ya think?
So, slick yer greazy ****** hair back, and sell yer **** quietly.
But bro, yer a salseman, and I don't like salesman to begin with. I sure as HELL don't like salesman dissin me car.
Now go away. Us "old crabby first gen enthusiasts" like to keep this track free of **** and debris.

It's kinda funny how Eugene did a complete about-face with his first gen opinions. He called our cars crap, just to insult Silver? WTF? Besides which, to insult SilverRocket is to insult the rest of us.
Anyone else notice his complete innabillity to spell or put together a coherent sentance?
And what the HELL was that **** about cops not targeting our cars? LMAO!!! I dunno about you guys, but my car seems to draw attention wherever I go, both from other drivers AND the cops. Not any more of a threat than an 89 Camery? ROTF!!! When was the last time you guys had a Camery keep up with you on the highway?
Anyway,
I think we've all heard just about enough **** from the little troll...

is he on ******' crack!?!? cops seem to drool when they see my car. and it's in no way the best of the breed of 1st gens. it IS however a 2 seater SPORTS car. yeah, i can see how you'd confuse it with a 4 door sedan. reeeeeally similar. yup. hey i just thought of something. i'm going to make a video on how to build and smoke out of bongs. you know, to help out with the bong culture. hey, i might even sell my videos on ebay! us bongers gotta stick together, yo! i toke mad kwik yo!

I had a chinese cop pull me over couple of weeks ago on highway, so he can check out my car and see what i'm running under the hood. pretty cool cop. Most of us first gen's are not riced out like the 3rd gens. We keep the car in original looks and might add some rims or spoilers that are actually made for our car not any generic aluminum wing that makes the car fly. I've had a friend of my lose his life in one of this so called fun street races. Why don't you add that clip to your video??? or i'm pretty sure there are so many ppl on this forum that lost their friends in street racing accidents. How about you guys add a list at the end of the video of all these dead ppl. then i want to see how many ppl will go out and street race after watching that. It's real life, it's not some crappy movie that you hit a truck and flip over 5times and get out and walk away from it.

Alright everyone,
I can understand why everyone is a bit uptight about the comments and such, but at least the guy did come back and try to apologize.
Since this is likely to go nowhere from here, I'm gonna just close the thread ...
