Question fire in my carb

Its been a while since I started my 82 rx7 and with the roof colapsing(yes, i fell through it). I am about to redo the roof of my garage and get in there a clean everything out as well. I want to move my 7. I push it on neutral and it will not move. When I parked it end of last summer, I did not put any brakes on. So I am not sure why it will not move.

anyway.. so I get my lil cap full of gas and oil mix and drop some down the carb and turn the key. To my surprize it ran for about 2.3 minutes. Then it just died. I was like wtf? ok fine.. I did it again. nothing this time. I pulled the fuse for the pump and turned it a few times. Then I redid everything from the start. Nothing. wtf. On my last attempt I put gas in by itself. turn the key and the carb came on fire never has this happen to me before. ITs been a while.

I made sure the engine turned freely and had compression. The engine turned very easy and with each pass each seal made I can hear a psss sound from the carb. So I am going to rule out carbon locked. Could I have messed up a seal? At the moment the battery is in a charging cycle. I need to move my car before I take that roof off to replace it.

So you are wondering why, after 15 months of sitting, your carb won't let fuel out?

Rebuild the carb and change out the fuel filter.
