Cool FINALY.. got a 1st gen!!!

After a year of searching i found an 85 RX7. I know it might not come as no suprize to ya but for me.. its like busting a nut lol

Its got preaty much everything stock. I am not sure what model it is.. its got power windows but no sun roof and the wheel are not from a gls-se. I think its the base model and someone added the windows. Now i just have to find a 13bt and get my stuff together.

Anyone know if theres a big differance between a JDM 13bt and a USDM 13bt?
or should i just throw in a regular 13b.. soo many questions.. no time for searching now I am going to give my new baby girl her 1st bath with me!

l8trZ..

Congrats. After 10 years without one (had a 79) I found mine last month on ebay. Its been nice out this weekend so I have it out for the weekend. I had 3 people comment yesterday how nice how much they like RX-7's. A year of searching? I feel lucky found mine after a month or so.

welcome to a life of perpetual modifications, the horizon is just a limiting fragment of your imagination.

Congratulations, I just got my '79 last July. I was searching for anything with a V-8 for my first car, but I fell in love with this. (and it was wicked cheap) Now I want to get another first gen, and probably a 3rd gen when i'm older. RX7 fever never dies!!!!!!

thanks guys.. i had a 2nd gen.. a 87.. base model. My brother has a 90 t2.. its crashed in the front and the back.. he got his house with the settlement. Hes thinking of fixing it but its been about 4 years since the accident. Still sitting in the garage. I told him.. let me have the engine or give me the whole car. I got a few dollars saved up.. I'll hook him up with the cash he gives me the motor. But hes harder than a diamon. IF I could only find a complete t2 engine with tranny and computer it would make me soo happy. I am going to the junkyard to find some parts i need in the morning. If anyone has any leads as to where I can get a complete t2 even if it needs a rebuild i would be more than happy to take it off there hands. I don't have much.. what should I expect to pat for a t2 in any condition anyway? anyone have a guess?

Keepin' it in the family

I bought my 83 last summer for $500.00...from my Mom! Who bought it from my younger brother in 87. He bought it used in 85. I wasn't about to let it get away!
She had all the maintenance records and everything except the cruise still worked. Who needs that anyway?!?

I'll keep her till I can't get in and drive!

Steve
