Finally starting my SE swap....

I finally made some time to start dismantling the GSL-SE to get my new suspension.

I was surprised on how much simpler it was than I expected to remove.

So far, I either have a good start, or an interesting unicycle.

What is it that you're doing, exactly? Stripping an SE to upgrade the grey car?

We may be able to help out with suggestions, if that's the case,

Yeah its pretty straight foward. The rear is kinda a pain in the *** though, especially the watts link.

Correct.

After digging into the 85 SE's engine bay, I noticed several wires that were attacked by mice or something. I scored the SE for only $50, so its alot easier to swap the suspension into the GSL than rebuild it.

Within the next few days, I should be able to upload a new sig pic with the wheels actually installed.

I've done the swap myself, in my '79. A little bit more complicated because of the difference in brake line fittings.
I actually upgraded it to a GSL suspension first a few years ago, then to GSL-SE last year.

GSL swap here: http://www.wankel.net/~krwright/cars...ds/brakes.html

SE swap here: http://www.wankel.net/~krwright/cars...sion_swap.html

Wait'll I put the EFI 13B 6-port in - worlds first '79 GSL-SE!

I hit reply and it times out, then I reload to make sure that it didn't post, post again, and it's gone and tripled!

What is your rear bumper?
Its original Kaminari. I've only seen 1 other car with the same rear, and that was the Black FB with the FD wheels. The other Kaminari kits I have seen do not have the "portholes" for the dual exhaust.
