Exclamation FINALLY started working on my new RX7: Advice?

Well I finally got around to working on rex0r today. I got the tires all pumped up with a generous amount of fix a flat (dry rot, will replace tires soon) Cleaned out the carb with a generous amount of carb cleaner. Anyway, I noticed a few things. The starter works just fine if the motor is cold; but after its warmed up to temp and its shut off, the starter makes a very high-pitched whine. It still functions fine, and it starts, but that whine is strange. Second, the front right wheel has a bit of a negative camber. Quite a bit actually, but it doesnt affect anything driving wise. Third After I got the tires up I took it for a quick run to circulate the fix a flat. It seems to not want to go much about 55 without dying out like lack of fuel. Hopefully its just the filter. Ill load it up with some sort of fuel cleaner/dryer next time I get a chance. And fourth, does anyone have a rear taillight they want to get rid of cheap? The blinker part is busted out and theres some tape now, but it looks like crap. Thanks for any advice, its most definatly needed. Ill be getting pics up next week, I just gotta borrow a camera!

negative camber eh? Can you tell if there's any structural damage? Perhaps you just need to rotate the strut top 180 degrees.

check for bent control arm on that neg camber

for the starter, on the rear of the motor there is a check plate for the flywheel, pull it off and take a peak at the flywheel. also pull off the starter and see how its gear looks, otherwise your starter may just be getting old?

Please when you go to replace the tires, tell the tech that you put the fix-a-flat stuff in. The stuff is big time dangerous. It is a voulitile compound that can spray out of the tire and burn the eyes and skin, it is also flamable and explosive.

Please tell the tech that is working on your car.

Any way sounds like a fun project car

good luck, and enjoy
