For everyone that helped me with my car, thanx. The problem turned out to be that the coil had gone bad. I have another problem now. The car is now smoking like he!! white smoke, and when you try to floor it the carb seems like it is flooding. I'm about to rebuild the carb, but I need help with the smoking problem.

White smoke is usually an indication of a coolant leak. Does it smell sweet, kinda like maple syrup (assuming you have anti-freeze in the radiator)?
