Merry Christmas to you too! I did think about it, and I was originally going to go for an 89-91 T2 swap, but the rules say that they couldn't mechanically touch the car. They tried really hard and brought it to the head of the foundation, but they just couldn't do it.

The muffler is being held up by a huge zip-tie until it gets replaced by the RB system. Thanks everybody for the support and comments, and I hope everyone has a great holiday!

Sweet car and absolutely the ONLY color for a sports car (can 10,000 Ferraris be wrong?)
Having an SA myself I share NO love of the FB + style wheels (with apologies to the many FB-ers here). You will find a nice set of SA waffles will complete the "Classic" look of your car - as would -*ahem*- a proper set of black body moldings! I can rant about keeping your car stock looking - but that didn't stop me from swapping in a set of RX8 seats But, swear to Gawd, that is the "limit" of modding the looks of my SA (mind you I have got a 5-speed RX8 shift **** that sure would compliment those seats...)
Welcome and enjoy!

Wow, that's nice. Do you have any interior pics? Also, how hard do you think it would be to find a set of SA wheels?

They're easy to find. Just cruise the for sale section. I picked up a real nice set last year for ~70 bucks. A lot of these around and lots of folks don't like em or they want bigger than 13 in. diameter wheels.

Like tg sez the standard silver waffles are easy to find. Come up on ebay regularly. The goldies like mine are rarer. Usually the most expensive part of buying them is the shipping! Try locally first. Wreckers may have sets sitting on their outdoor wheel rack even if the original car long ago went to the crusher, so don't just ask at the counter, go out in the yard and look for yourself. Should not have to pay more than $25 each. Be picky about condition. Some can be pretty corroded up off beater cars, so hold out for a nice set! I've actually been able to buy four NEW ones from various sellers over the years. NOTE: you will need the LONGER 79-80-spec lug bolts for these!! The lugs on your car will be too short!! These bolts are available NEW for a couple of $$ each.

I haven't seen any on Ebay recently, but I guess I can call a few junkyards to see if they have any early ones. Should I try to find the silver ones, or the gold? Is there any way to tell which ones came with my car? Also, what should I look for when buying them? Thanks.
