Thanks guys

The previous owner had like 4 rx-7's(2 SA's, 2 FC's) and he was selling them to get an FD, so he let it go for pretty cheap..

Rust isnt bad at all, theres surface rust under the fenders, but no gaping holes or anything...
Oh, except for the exhaust, which is still original, it looks pretty sketchy

My poor baby is rusting in the backyard, what a traitor I am. It was such a friend to me and let it sit and die misearbly in the bakyard.... Since shes now dead I should put her organs in other vehicles across the US. So she will always live... I think Im gonna go cry now

I loved that damn car

Damn, she's a fine machine. I wish my '79 looked that nice . Well, a little body work, and she'll look as good as yours...

SA's with no black molding on the sides(trim) are "S" models, while the ones with the trim are "GS" models. At least from the factory... Mine is a GS but I didn't put trim back on when I had the car repainted. If it is in its original form, the blue one above should be a 1980 S. The two little nubs below the rubstrip on the back bumper give it away as an 80 (79's didn't have them. Rubstrip only), and lack of side moldings make it an S.

Here is mine...

Chemical, your car looks great! You did great for $500.

I managed to steal my SA for $100 + $6 KY Sales Tax. Here is a pic after I had buffed the factory paint out. I still eventually ended up repainting it as seen above.

I picked mine up for the same,.... only the kid who sold it to me had repainted the whole thing with chrome-in-a-can.... (I could have slapped him...)

I'm really diggin' the side pic with no trim, i've been considering doing that to my car since i'm missing a few pieces anyways, and I must say i'm now inspired

Nah, I don't think I'll be going... I have to work, and I don't know if my car will make it that far...

This is my '79GS in case you were wondering...

Mine is also a GS model, whoever replaced the strips after it was repainted many years ago didn't do the greatest job. The strips were all crooked and falling off, plus I'd loaded them up with wax so they weren't too pretty. I much prefer the look without them, makes the body much straighter.
