Finally got a car!!!

Hey, some of you might know that I was looking for an RX-7. Well, I found and bought one for $500. Not a bad price considering the condition. It does need a few things, but it is in good condition. I need to fix the gas tank, and I might need to do a few other things, but it should run once I get the tank fixed.

I'll have some pics soon.

I am so freeking excited now, but i have to take my time and fix it up before I put it on the road

The ironic thing about this car is that about 2 and a half months ago I looked at another black 82 RX-7. It was being sold for $350. It needed a LOT of work. Now I get this car for $500. Guess what, its the same car. I found some things that were oddly the same. Then looking in the glove box today, I find the old for sale sign. Its the one I got the phone number from the first time I looked at the car 2 and a half months ago. I ended up ahead though. There has been about $500 spent on the car.

Anyway, I should have pics posted in a few hours.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that it is a GSL. And EVERYTHING works, except the gas door opener.

unscrew the gas door opener, take it out (screws on outside, takesout on inside) and then take it apart, clean and wd40 everything.... did that to mine and it works good now.....

also..... why does it need a tank?

if its not getting gas, swap the filter...... if the filter gets clogged fast, fix the tank, clean the lines from the tank to the carb, get a new filter, rebuild the carb...... heh.... fuel system from a sitting car turns to yucky...

but good score man....

Did I explain something wrong about the gas tank?

Anyway, the gas tank has a couple of fittings broke off. Thats all. What were you ramblin on about the filler neck and all that?? I didn't explain the problem.

Oh well. The car came with the tank out of the car already. It comes with everything to put it back in, I just need to find a way to fix the tank. I'm not sure if the engine runs or not. From the looks of it, it should just start up with some cranking, but only time will tell.

I will have to wait till tomorrow to get the pics up.
