FINALLY found a junkyard, but prices..

i found a junkyard by my house that has 4-5 first gen. 3 of them are GSL. most are complete except the rears have been all taken. how are these prices??? 100bux for a seized engine (running fine when brought in, but seized form sitting so long) i don't think seized is a problem since i'm taking them to rebuild anyway. AND 300bux for a complete running good engine. hows 200 for the trans?? I just wana see what i should talk this guy down too, since he is the ONLY one around, and is reallll close.

From my FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE with junk yards, before you go put on dirty work clothes! I know that sounds corny, but these place set prices by not only what they want for the parts, but what they think you can afford. I made the mistake of going to junk yards with nice clothes a few times- NEVER AGAIN! ALWAYS put on dirty work clothes before going to a junk yard. Oh, and speak like a hick- Saves me $$$$$$$$$$$.

I wouldnt pay much for a junk yard 12A,You have to keep in mind rotor housings liek to flake,I WOULDNT spend no more than $100. on a 12A .

Im tired of peopel priasing on the ATF trick for seized engines,Get one where the apex is wedge on the rotor and housing ..
ATF that

I saw someone bought a S5 motor from a junkyard near me and he only paid $85 with tax... just the motor though.... no exhaust manifold.... bare motor.... junkyard consider Rotary engines a SHORT BLOCK which is cheaper... but I don't know how BLOCKS WORK.... Make sure you have warranty on your purchase.... just in case.... for the tranny.... don't pay $200 bux for a junkyard tranny.... most of them sell it for Less than $100.... I live in CA, but I'm pretty sure it should be the same there.... Rear End is more is expensive..... I don't know how much....

Prices seem a tad high to me, too, but if that is what is available and you feel comfortable with it, go for it. That is funny about the rears on the GSL's though. Everyone is upgrading.
