Heh im only missing one bushing and its a paint in the ****.... I would be interested in the poly bushings if the price was fair, i understand reproducing something without large enough market for it makes the price high...

Poly Bushings
How much interest would there be in replacement bushings for the popup headlight linkage?
I talked with Johnny Spiva of www.polybushings.com about this issue and he thought it might be possible to make replacements. The problem is he would need to know how much of a market there is before he designs a bushing. As you can tell from his web site he serves the FWD Dodge community with high quality parts that the big guys do not bother with.
Would it be possible to start a poll to determine interest in replacement bushings?

The replacement rods are $30-$40 each at Mazdatrix, depending on if it's the short one or long one, not cheap but probably a one time replacement since the stock ones easily last 20 years plus. I've only had to replace one of these over the last 8 years, along with rotating in a good one from a parts car once in awhile. They almost never go bad in my experience.

But if a good manufactured replacement becomes available I'd definitely be interested, after all the grommets themselves are just an inexpensive but precisely manufactured piece of plastic.

**** New Replacement Headlight Lift Arm Bushings *****
Hi All, I don't spend a lot of time on forums so excuse me if I am a little rusty.
I manufacture replacement plastic bushings for the "long" Rx7 Headlight lift arms that runs from the motor to the "idler" for want of a better word.
These are the ones that ALWAYS fail.
Also this is the same bushing that fails on the "short" wiper linkage arm.
The replacement bushing is two piece plastic and clips into the arm with a retaining ring. A little lithium grease on the ball and they just slip right on.
I am based in New Zealand but I will be listing the bushings on Ebay shortly and I will accept Paypal.
Please let me know if its something your interested in
Cheers Rodger
