Arrow Fighting Rust/Reinforcing Rearend on Project!!!

Restoring my 85. Both fenderwells have rusted through in spots. Where the upper control arm joins the body is rusted on both sides. It kind of looks like the springs are leaning toward the front of the car. Could the axle have shifted back? I realize I'm going to have to pull most of it apart and go weld crazy with new metal and reinforcements. I am planning this project car to have around 300hp. Any suggestions for reinforcement or tips on fighting this rust?

Thanks
