Fiberglass Speaker pods for rear of car

Hi

I am planing on have two pods made like the ones in this pic.

My buddy owns a Custom shop and will do them for me. He said he could do more once the first set is done. No price has been set yet.

Would anyone else like a set of these pods? What price would you be willing to pay? If I am just going to have a set done for me, then I will just leave my car and let him do it. But if more people want some of them then I plan on cutting the rear off of my parts car so he can have an easy to use mold.

PS. I picked the image up off of the forum several months ago.

It is not going to die this time. At the Minimum I am going to do one for my car. Looks like 7 so far. I will have him working on it by the end of the month.

Not sure on price yet.

Two 8's would fit easy and is what will be done first. may make them later for 10's but they will have to come out further and take up more room.

50 bucks per pod would be a decent price... If they have good terminal point on them (Not wires through a hole), steel grilles to protect the speakers, and some fiberglass insulation inside.

sniff sniff, this kinda reminds me of the shirt deal that time.. everyone wanting and then when it was time to ante up, a lot of people had an excuse...

I was gonna make some of these, but damn it was gonna take me forever, so it would have been $200-$300 or so per set in fiberglass/wood composite

Wires coming through is a lot better than a terminal cup , trust me. Thats like taking 12awg speaker wire and then cutting it in 1/2 and putting 22awg wire... Dont make a lot of sense, these type of enclosures are stealth enclosures, therefore can be covered up and dont have to be moved or removed.

I currently have a pair of 10's in the back, with wal mart enclosures, lol. Once a price is set, I might consider it. Do ya use paypal? That would be the only way I could possibly purchase them. Now, where to put the amps? :P

Just the material to do the pods would be better than $50. I would say the price will be in the $200 range.

There would not be any wire installed. You will have to drill a hole and put in the wire you want. all you do to seal the hole is use some silcone.

I will be able to take paypal once we start selling them. Paypal may cost more, becasue of the fees involved. The first few I would ask for Cash(MO).

I am trying to get the car into the shop by the end of this week. With pictures two weeks after that.

Also if you want them ported you will have to request that and speify the port size and length Or you can add the port once you get them. I will be having my set made sealed as I do not like the ported sound. Once the first set is made we will be able to determine the Volume.
