Cool FI conversion -se 13b into 82GSL

Ok, I've read up on FI and I have got a rough idea of the things I need. Now for details:
I have a 85' -se 13b, -se tank, ecu and wiring harness, -se maf(afm) and all the other goodies that are related to this swap.
I also have a FC 87' s4 ecu

What do I need to to do as far as fuel plumbing between the tank and the engine?
(remember this is a 82' GSL chassis)
I heard that the maf(afm) controls the fuel pump, is that true, if so how do I get around that besides adding another toggle switch for fuel pump pwr?

Can I use the FC s4 ecu on the 85 -se engine?(planning on adding some injectors)
I am trying to stay away from boost.(Longevity)

I did searchs on the -se to non -se conversion and didn't find a definitive answer.

Anybody want to take a crack at this?

Thanks!

The fuel line question is answered in this link.

As far as the ECU. The S4 Ecu is not compatable with the se injection system. You would be better off using the S4 ECU and wiring if you want more injectors.
Otherwise you will have to run something like a Mega Squirt with the Se ECU.
Not only does the Se but all 84-85 models had a fuel pump relay and the circuit went thru the trailing ignitor.
That's all the info that I can give you.

If your looking for upgradability down the road then the SE electronics aren't the best setup. If I understand it correctly they don't use the conventional 5v ECU system, making almost everything else incompatible with it. If I were you I'd go with S4 everything at least (my own personal project uses S5 components, but its up to you)
Having said that I'll admit my SE and S4 knowlege is limited as most of my readind and experience is with S5 stuff. I recall reading someone who had S4 manifolds and all that on a SE block, but what was needed to make it all work I can't remember.
Not sure if those were the answers you were looking for, hopefully it helps at least a little bit

You can run the S4 manifolds on the Se engine with very little modifications.

Ok, I wasn't sure. that might be his best route then, he can use the SE engine he has (I'm assuming he has one from his post) and get the benefits of the "modern" (compared to the SE setup at least) S4 electronics, and S4 stuff is pretty cheap and easy to find...

Does that buy me anything power wise? Or just more options for upgrades?

S4's have 10hp more than SE's, but more options for upgrades is what would sell me on the idea...

10hp here, 10hp there it all adds up. After all is said and done N/A I am hoping for 150whp.

Hope floats.

I would be a carb on the SE engine. It'll give it a lot more HP. Stock GSL-SE's isn't that fast.

Steady torque is what I'm more interested in then speed, FI gives me predicability whereas carb's can get twitchy when drifting. Been drifting a carb for 2 years now.

No more TII swaps. Someone needs to come up with 11:1 rotors so we can build a 300HP N/A
13B without major porting. :-)
