The Haynes manual (you have one of those right?) says it's in the fuse block under the dash. The manual indicates that it's in the #10 spot and it's a 20A fuse.

The fuse is located in the fuse box under the dash with all the other cars fuses.

Are you having a problem related to getting power to your fuel pump, which the connector to the fuel pump in behind the drivers side storage box.

If so there is a 'fuel pump short connector' under the hood, on the passenger side , by the air cleaner that will allow you to by-pass the safety controls related to the fuel pump operating only while the car is running. By inserting a jumper in the 'fp short connector' this will allow power to the fuel pump with the key in Run positon without having to crank the engine over.

[The connector is 2 port female, and has a rubber boot covering it so it looks like the same type they used at the ignitors.]

My pump just died, so this stuff is still fresh in the mind. Who says the pumps never go out, yeah right.

Rhino - what did you replace your pump with? I have an 84 that I want to get a spare pump for in the event that it goes out one of these days. Much easier to get the thing running again if the pump is sitting on the shelf in the garage. Didn't want to spend $280 at Mazdatrix for the factory OEM model, however.

Any suggestions?

Well I had bought a MSD fuel pump (model ?) but realize there was no way to re-install the pulse damper/metal fuel line off the old unit.
So I went junk yard hunting for a GSL-SE, which took about a month for one to show up. I got the used aftermarket replacement pump and under tray for $15.

Now I am in the process of going to parts stores to find a suitable replacement for $150 that would accept the pulse damper/metal fuel line. I can get a factory pump for around $225 from Mazda motorsports cause I autox thes car.

I will post as soon as I find the one that meets the criteria.
