Well... I finally got the racecar back from the body shop...They pulled the frame quite well... putting everything back together...beating an banging metal... I went to put the fender on that I got from the junk yard and I could not make it fit right for the life of me... I tried everything.... Then I realized...that the bottom half of my orginal fender where it goes into the rocker pannel is bent at like a 90 degree...whereas the fender I got from the junk yard was bent at like a 30-45...

Now... Question:

Am I crazy or are there different fenders from 79-81... ? If so... My car is a 79...Can I only use 79 fenders?


And by the way...to the driver of the number 84 Acura who made this car require a 6 1/2 inch pull on the frame...... U! Did you find any more horsepower... I know it was a hard pill to swallow you were getting beat by a junk yard motor... btw... how much was that engine?

SA and FB fenders are different... '81 = FB

 

SA = 79-80. FB = 81-85. Yes, different fenders, front bumpers, rear bumpers, etc. etc. The interior, iirc, is 79-80 is the same, 81-82 is the same, 83, and then 84-85 is the same (not that you are worrying about that in your racecar).

 

You can put the later model body parts on an SA no worries
