Feedback for the moderators

Well, in an attempted to continually improve our section here, I'd like to open the floor to the following discussion:

What are your opinions of how this section is moderated/suggestions for making it better?

Please feel free to post your thoughts/questions of why we do what we do/suggestions for improvement here, or, if you prefer (or if you think what you want to say would be better received one-on-one) feel free to PM me.

Thanks

Only thing I had a question about was why threads didnt get archived after some of the 'good' ones got rated... I asked in that one sticky, and I ventured to go look, and guess what? Youd been doing it, so keep up the good work

You're doing a great Job. My only reccomendation is to see the troublemakers IP addresses (Watch_this) to see if they are the same as other trolls on the board just coming over to instigate problems.

i would not be that concerned with them. either they will learn how we do things here, or they will learn to be ignored..

i would say all in all, you are doing a good job.

doing fine man. We're usually a pretty calm group that doesn't need much moderation anyway. Can't really think of anything that needs to be improved. keep it the way it is I say

You should make a seperate section for people who wish to sell or advertise their products.

Yeah I agree to that, deltet them.. Cause its misleading when you say you have 25,000 members and only truely have 8,000

It will provide people that wanna be on the board , as possibly better choice of usernames

Make a buy/sell/advertise section immediately under the 1st gen section, that is accsssible from the 1st gen forum (like the 1st gen archive is at the top) would be my only recomendation.

Other than that, exerrent!

I love the forum. The only thing I did not like is that it took me two years to find it. As an Rx-7 lover and more over a FB lover this forum is great.

Well, since you're asking for opinions..

Lately there has been a noticeable increase in thread titles containing expletives. This may be acceptable in the freakin' lounge, but this is really out of place in the first-gen forum.. first, it gives our forum a stupid idiot trashy feel, and in turn, this trashiness can set the stage for more lovely unpleasantness. Do mods have the ability to "edit" such thread titles?

Also, newbies are still using thread titles that give us no clue what the post is about, and this seems to be getting more frequent lately. I know there is a sticky about this, but maybe the sticky should be put at the VERY TOP so it gets more prominence and attention. And maybe highlighting it in neon lights!

Thanks for caring..

How about required reading before being able to post? Make the noobs do, say, 10 searches and view 100 threads before being allowed to post on the board. And you could make some of the stickies required viewing before being able to post in a certain section.
