Feed the Carb.!

Okies all,

Got my Holley and RB intake bolted up. Fab'ed up an accel cable and return spring bracket. Got the unit used without much of the supporting hardware :/

Still working on an attachment for the oil metering pump rod. Also no choke cable bracket fabricated, yet...

My question: What fuel pump should I get to feed this sucker?

Thanks,
Crafoo

I use the carter 7 PSI. It's a very good pump for the money. I think it was less than $50 from summit. Get a Fuel pressure regulator too. I use the holley FPR. Also from summit.

Good luck,

Mike

Do you need a gauge with that regulator? I have a cheap *** dial type regulator on my car right now, not sure how accurate the thing is...

Yeah, you need a guage. On mine I have it plumbed into the second outlet of the regulator. Works really well.

Hey stinkfist, thanks for the help. I've got the summit catalog right here in front of me. Is the adjustable FPR really that useful? I'm new to carb systems. All my exp. is with 2nd gen fuel injection.

Yeah, you need the FPR. It keeps fuel pressure constant through the whole RPM range.

The FPR you need is summit part # hly-12-803 It's only $20.00

Felix Wankel, A guage is very helpful. I don't have one now but I did have one on my old set up. I like haveing one much better. I'm haveing a couple of problems with my carb right now that a guage will help me diognose. I am going to pick one up this week.

I'm assuming you have the very common purolator dial type regulator. The holley is a much better FPR, but if that works for you then keep it. The purolators have a reputation for not being very acurate.
