FC manifolds to 12a turbo swap

here is a couple of pics, im currently in the process of swaping the old 12at manifolds out for the later FC series 4 ones.

the engine is currently stock and at this stage is yet to be rebuilt, it has been running fine for the last 5 years and fingers crossed will stay that way.

Cheers Paul

Where did you get the adapter plate? I herad of a place KYPERFORMANCE or something like that sells them for like a 150, but they are on your side of the planet. Or did you go another route? What are the biggest benefits to doing this,I have little knowledge on 12AT b/c of the obvious that we dont see those over here really. What numbers are you running? I know Im probaly asking a lot of very NoOb questions and will get my A$s burned for it but Im curious or if you could link me to a site that has some general information on those motors as well as all of the routes people go for upgrades. Though I'll probaly never have one, never mind see one, my curiosity gets the best of me everytime.-Erik

I'd be interested in how you got that FC series 4 manifold to fit on there...never seen an adaptor plate for something like that before?

Pic of adaptor plate

In this pic you can see the difficulty in having a Right hand Drive, there is always something to get in the way eg steering box.
similar to this one:

Im still working my way through the conversion at the momment, i will detail whats involved once im finished but so far its fairly simple.

Looks good. I like the idea of using the adapter plates.

Maybe someday I'll turbo a first gen. But the N/A is enough for me right now.
